Office Team

Greg Gay, Previous President

TRACY SICHLING, terminal manager

Tracy started with B-D-R Transport in October 1992 as a long-haul driver. After three years driving, Tracy moved into the position of Long Haul Dispatch and he primarily covers the New England Dispatch and Longhaul dispatch to California. He is actively involved with the Elks Club of Bellows Falls, VT Lodge No. 1619 and was a former Exalted Ruler.

JIM SHAUGHNESSY, Freight Forwarding Manager

Jim began his career at B-D-R Transport in November 2000. Jim handles Regional Dispatch covering the East Coast to Florida and points West to Chicago down to Texas. He grew up around trucking, as his Dad was a Regional Manager for St. Johnsbury Trucking. The longevity of his years working with the Company, along with a lifelong friendship with both Owners, showcases the family atmosphere found throughout B-D-R.

John Claine, Dispatcher

Luke Bazin, Fleet Advocate

Luke has been with the Company for over a decade and brings with him a mastery of knowledge about equipment, parts, truck dealers, trucking industry leaders, and vendors... as well as possessing skills about everything to do with our trailers and trucks.

Previous Co-Owner and Vice President Doug Gay stated, “With the miles we run on our trucks, we are unparalleled in our program that Luke has set up which keeps the freight moving, trucks moving, drivers happy, customers happy and keeps the cost down — and that is what we want.”

Luke is a former owner of a heavy equipment repair shop (which grew into a Freightliner dealership) and is also an active member of his community, serving on Boards, Committees, volunteering — and countless other things to enhance the lives of those around him however he can.

Luke and his wife currently own and operate, Alburg Golf Links in Alburg Vermont, a short yet challenging 18-hole links-style layout on the Lake Champlain Islands, with scenic views of the Adirondack and Green Mountains.

DIANE WALSH, Accounts Receivable

Diane’s career in Transportation began in 1964 for Holmes Transportation, where she worked as an Office Clerk handling Accounts Receivable. She has been in the current B-D-R Transport building since 1966! Her duties include creating and handling all of the Bill of Lading’s (BOL is a critical step in the shipping process), all of the pro’s Eastbound and Westbound, along with Accounts Receivable and Interline. Doug Gay, B-D-R Transport Vice President boasted that “…Diane’s accuracy on her ‘pro’s’ are second to none. She is a true professional at her job.”

WENDY WHITON, Accounts Payable

Wendy has been with B-D-R Transport in her current position since 2000, taking over for Arlene Carey who retired from the same position after holding the job for 30 years! Not only is Wendy a valuable asset to B-D-R Transport’s handling of her duties of Accounts Payable and Payroll, but she and her husband were once one of our Husband and Wife teams, logging roughly 100,000 miles crisscrossing the country hauling our freight!

Sales Team

JOHN ANDERSON, SaleS

John has been working for B-D-R Transport in Sales since 2018. Spending most of his time on the road visiting potential new customers, keeping in touch with existing clients, and educating others as to the benefits of using our Company as the Best Direct Route for their freight! He is a true pioneer in the trucking business, knowing nearly every company in the State of Vermont. John always greets all with a big smile on his face and enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with his family at his camp.

MAINTENANCE TEAM

B-D-R Transport has a Preventative Maintenance Program that is second to none in the Nation. There is a thoroughly collaborative approach for preventative maintenance and this is due to the Owner’s and Luke Bazin’s decades of expertise.

Our drivers feel confident knowing if there is ANY problem out on the road — even if it is just down the road as they left the terminal for their day — or hundreds of miles away or thousands of miles away, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — they can make a call and get a response ASAP and get them back on the road.
